Jess Juanich

Research Assistant

Jess is interested in using collaboration, communication, and creativity to strive for equitable outcomes. He believes that representation and input can help drive evaluation. Prior to ORS Impact, Jess served as a legislative intern to Seattle City Council-President Lorena Gonzalez, volunteered as a legal assistant for the Housing Justice Project assisting low-income residents in King County, and served as the national youth student council chair for the Japanese American Citizens League organizing virtual programming on digital storytelling and racial equity discussions.

Jess is currently pursuing his Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree at his alma mater, Seattle University, where he double majored in Public Affairs and Political Science. As a first-generation college graduate, Jess understands that mentorship, learning, and service to others strengthens his advocacy for social justice. In his free time, you can find Jess playing music on the piano, guitar, or ukulele and rooting for Seattle sports teams.
