Doug is a seasoned operations professional who believes in the power of business for social good and making the world a better place. He joined ORS in March 2019 to bring his passion for blending strategic thinking with operational effectiveness. With a strong operations and project management background, Doug builds ecosystems for teams to thrive through developing a shared vision, implementing systems with strong metrics, and creating equitable structures.
Originally from New York, Doug spent the first part of his career managing UBS Investment Bank’s Mortgage Backed Securities Operations team through the credit crisis. More recently, he co-founded and served as the Executive Director for an environmental non-profit Wild Forests and Fauna (WildFF). He currently serves as WildFF’s Board President and program manages their projects in Northern Uganda.
Doug holds a BA in Economics from Rutgers University and an MBA in sustainable business with an energy certificate from Presidio Graduate School (formerly known as Bainbridge Graduate Institute). He is most excited when discussing market-based approaches to further environmental conservation, promoting the circular economy, and cheering on the Seahawks.
