Sara believes measurement and evaluation is most powerful when it inspires organizational learning. She works with clients to design a Measurement, Learning, and Evaluation (MLE) practice that generates data and insights to support their work. Sara co-designed ORS Impact’s annual MLE Lab, a cohort experience for foundation and nonprofit staff to strengthen their MLE practice. Through the Lab, she coaches participating organizations through the development of theories of change and measurement plans, and around building an organizational culture of reflection and learning.

To promote learning, Sara believes that evaluation data and findings should be presented in a way that tell a story. She helped establish ORS Impact’s data visualization practice to maximize the utility of our evaluation products. Sara first determines which type of product will best suit the audience and purpose of a deliverable, and then applies principles of design and communication so that readers are more likely to digest and use the information.

Sara joined ORS Impact in 2012. She holds a Master’s in Applied Sociology from the University of Central Florida (UCF). At UCF, she taught and evaluated undergraduate courses including Social Power and Inequality and Sex and Gender in Society, and published journal articles on the transition to motherhood.

Sara is happiest when she’s in nature, in the company of dogs, cooking, or running to political podcasts.

Muniba believes in centering marginalized people and communities in all analyses, organizational development, and field building. She uses interdisciplinary analytic methods, design frameworks, and compelling visualizations to make sense of qualitative, quantitative, and spatial data and to advance equity.

Muniba joined ORS Impact in May 2022. Prior to joining ORS Impact, Muniba held technical and advisory roles at public health and climate organizations. Her public health expertise includes developing community health needs assessments (CHNAs) and advancing health equity in community health planning processes. Within climate, she quantified foundation funding flows to develop regional, sectoral, and temporal analyses of climate change mitigation philanthropy. Muniba holds Bachelors degrees in Public Health and Psychology from the University of California Berkeley, and a Masters degree in Urban Planning from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. During her graduate studies, Muniba focused on using spatial data methods in urban planning proposals for health and community development.

Muniba lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and spends maybe too much of her time trying new recipes.

Passion for creating just and equitable social systems is the driving force for why Terri engages in work each day, believing that evaluative thinking and access to high-quality, relevant evidence has the power to hold system leaders accountable, advocate for equitable policies, remove barriers, and help organizations change their practices to meet the needs of children, families and communities. She specializes in collaborative approaches to research and evaluation, working side-by-side with community, philanthropic, and education partners to obtain and use actionable evidence to define and achieve success and create access to opportunities and capacity to reach those success goals. Her approach relies on trained judgment, the flexible application of a variety of evaluation tools, deep knowledge of the political context, and strong trust with key stakeholders to address complex social challenges.

Terri is a former community organizer, counselor, teacher, professor and district administrator. She holds an undergraduate degree in sociology and community planning, and two masters degrees—one in community counseling and one in school psychology. She earned her doctorate in Research Methods and Lifespan Developmental Psychology at the University of Kansas in 1995. She has served on the boards of numerous youth-serving non-profit organizations and on state and national task forces related to education policy and educational equity issues.

In her non-work time, she enjoys spending time with her family, enjoying the fantastic art created by her talented husband and daughter, listening to music, engaging in all forms of photography, attending the theater and art museums, cooking, reading, and exploring the Pacific Northwest. She’s also a diehard college basketball fan, rooting for her beloved Jayhawks.

Christelle (Chris) Beauboeuf (pronounced bo-buff) joined ORS in June of 2022, bringing along several years of experience as a project manager, advocate, and policy researcher. She most recently worked at Civitas Public Affairs LLC, where she managed multi-state legislative and judicial campaigns for nonprofit and philanthropic clients to enact progressive change in reproductive rights, mental healthcare, and racial justice. Before that, she coordinated trainings with nonprofits and foundations to equip them to become stronger advocates and learn the IRS rules around advocacy work with Alliance for Justice’s Bolder Advocacy Program. She holds a BA in political science from the University of Michigan where she focused on international human rights and transitional justice.

A Michigan native, Chris now lives in Brooklyn after spending many years in Washington, D.C. In her free time she enjoys practicing yoga, embroidery, and sharing meals with friends.

Natasha embraces the power of engaged research to shape the social systems and institutional arrangements that condition people's social, economic, and cultural well-being. She focuses on advancing equity and fostering more inclusive societies in which communities can flourish by seeking to understand how people interact with the systems that affect them. Her strengths lie in leveraging a range of qualitative and participatory research methods and systems-level analytical frameworks to help ensure that social change efforts are effective and ultimately center the needs and desires of those communities and individuals who have the most to benefit.

Before joining ORS Impact, Natasha worked in academia and the workforce development non-profit space. She has also served as a co-chair of the Seattle Human Rights Commission. Natasha holds a Ph.D. in Political Science, with an emphasis in Human Rights, from UC Santa Barbara and a B.A. in Political Science and Latin American Studies from Rutgers University.

In her spare time, Natasha enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest's natural beauty, playing bridge, cooking, and finding other ways to spend quality time with her husband and their dog.

Cecilia believes in using high quality data to promote systems-level change and brings a multicultural and multiracial lens to any project with which she engages. She is passionate about working with clients to support their internal work and help strengthen their efforts towards social advancement. She values interpersonal relationships and creative thinking, as well as understands the importance of applying appropriate methodologies to evaluate projects.

Cecilia joined ORS in February 2019, bringing along seven years of immigration law experience in the private sector. She has extensive case management experience and is an effective communicator, deep listener, and collaborator. She has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in public policy analysis and evaluation from the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington.

Cecilia is originally from Campeche, Mexico and is fluent in Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga and spending time with her family outdoors.

Supporting social impact organizations in their work to make the world a better and more equitable place for all is the driving force for Scott’s work with clients. He joined ORS Impact in 2021 and has a strong passion and interest in working with complex data and evaluation methods to help clients improve in their ability to learn from constituents and ultimately grow in becoming more effective and impactful in their social impact strategies.

Scott earned his PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Seattle Pacific University, with a particular emphasis on strategy and evaluation in organizations. During his time at Seattle Pacific University and thereafter, he gained experience consulting with organizations across the nonprofit, philanthropic, and private sectors, engaging evaluation and assessment, strategy development, and organizational design efforts. With these organizations, he has used his strengths in data analytics, statistics, and mixed methods evaluation approaches to inform organizational strategies, processes, and feedback, listening, and learning mechanisms.

Scott was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and has called Seattle home since 2014. Outside of work, he is actively engaged as a lecturer and adjunct professor of psychology at multiple universities in the Seattle area. His hobbies include cooking and baking, playing guitar and piano, and supporting his beloved Gonzaga Bulldogs every March Madness season.

Juan joined ORS Impact in 2018 and is excited to contribute to the social sector through his passion for data-driven learning that improves social outcomes. In his work, he seeks to clearly understand and meet client needs in a precise, innovative, and professional manner, in order to help them accomplish their mission efficiently and effectively.

Juan recently moved back to the Pacific Northwest after living and working in Latin America, bringing international experience in the political and social sectors. In Colombia - his home country - Juan worked as a consultant, focusing on political consulting and social policy monitoring and evaluation for public and private sector clients, including USAID and Univision Network. Before moving to Colombia, Juan worked for a Canadian non-profit implementing a program to improve access to higher education for indigenous youth in rural areas around Cuzco, Peru. Juan holds an MPA degree from the Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington, and a BA in Political Science and International Studies from the same university.

Juan is a proud father and husband, who tries to spend as much time as possible with his family. He enjoys playing soccer and running, finds inspiration in talking about politics and social issues with others, and tries to remain connected to his home country and his indigenous friends.

Janine joined ORS Impact in 2023. She values all things organizational and analytical, as well as carefully considering individual skills and perspectives in order to best communicate and solve problems. Her areas of expertise range from diving into a database to executing a team activity. Janine is passionate about using these skills to support groups and missions that strengthen communities.

Prior to joining the ORS Impact team, she held administrative positions supporting non-profit fundraising and public education. Janine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Washington.

Janine has lived in Seattle since 2013, after moving from the San Francisco Bay Area. In her free time, she loves spending time with friends and family, reading, looking for beach glass, getting outside, and watching cooking shows.  

Charlotte is passionate about advancing social and racial justice with participatory research methods, systems-level analysis, and an equity lens. She is excited to leverage these tools and others in partnership with organizations working to address complex social issues. 

Before joining ORS Impact in September 2021, Charlotte worked at the University of Illinois at Chicago managing implementation science research projects focused on improving racial and mental health equity within the juvenile justice and family court systems. She also worked at MIT’s Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) and served a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA member at a non-profit organization in Boston.

She received her Bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Studies from Macalester College and Master’s degree from the University of Chicago’s Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice where she was a research assistant for Dr. Matthew Epperson and the Smart Decarceration Project. In her free time, Charlotte enjoys making trips to the library, knitting, and spending time with friends and family.

Ben joined ORS in the fall of 2022 and brings with him a systems-focused social work and nonprofit background. He is a recent graduate of the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work, where he specialized in organizational leadership and policy practice. His graduate work focused on affordable housing policy advocacy, the decriminalization homelessness and poverty, and legal punishment reform.

Ben brings a diversity of experience to his client teams: he has served as a legislative aide for a Colorado state senator, as a case manager and client advocate at a clinic for people living with HIV, and had a prior career in theatre where he honed his project management, communications, and leadership skills while performing throughout North America, on Broadway, and internationally. He currently runs the Denver chapter of a nonprofit that mobilizes queer+ and ally volunteers. Since joining ORS, Ben has engaged clients in work around conservation and livelihoods, community development and quality of life frameworks, and is embarking on new projects to include after action reviews and participatory theory of change development. He is deeply empathetic, is passionate about accessible/equitable communications for public impact, and believes human-centered data storytelling has the power to change people and systems at scale.

What Joel enjoys most about being part of the ORS Impact team, is the opportunity to help clients learn from and use measurement and evaluation to improve their work. He listens to clients and beneficiaries and bases his work style in maintaining a calm and unbiased dual perspective. This is to ensure that the team arrives at an end-product that meets the client’s information-needs and tells a compelling story.

His utilization-focused mentality relies on not only the quality of findings but also in the design and presentation of those findings. He has evolved with the firm to develop skills in design and data visualization, and enjoys experimenting with new ways to present quantitative and qualitative data and findings.

Joel joined ORS Impact in 2012 and has worked in multiple capacities, providing him with a rich experience of the organization, its tools and methods, its culture and its lines of business in Theory of Change, Evaluation, and Strategy Development. Joel is currently an MBA candidate at Presidio Graduate School to learn how to leverage the intersection between business, innovation, and justice. His prior experience includes sustainable agricultural work in Colombia and economic development at the City of Seattle.

June strives to use her knowledge and skills as a researcher and social scientist to help social change organizations make a greater impact. She specializes in drawing insights from data to make it useful and actionable and in producing high-quality products that organizations can use to advance their vision and mission. She is committed to social justice and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). 

With over 20 years of experience doing applied research, she has worked in education, criminal justice, and on various issues related to race, inequality, and social policy. Before joining ORS Impact in 2021, she was a Research Consultant in education with a special interest in DEI. In the past, she worked with a collective impact initiative that supports children from cradle to career called Eastside Pathways, laying the groundwork on community engagement and measuring impact. She also served as a Public Policy Fellow at Asian Americans Advancing Justice, a civil rights organization in Washington DC that does advocacy work on social justice issues.  

June has a Ph.D. in Sociology from Harvard and a B.A. in Sociology from UC Berkeley, and has held numerous research-related positions. While at Harvard, she was a Teaching Fellow for a course called "The Experiences of Asian Americans" and "Sociological Perspectives on Racial Inequality in America." Additionally, she was a Doctoral Fellow in the Multidisciplinary Program in Inequality and Social Policy at the Kennedy School of Government.  

In her free time, June enjoys reading and writing. She loves connecting with people and learning new things. She also likes exploring new places and spending time outdoors with her family.

Sandy-Asari (Sandy) is dedicated to raising the consciousness of the plight of marginalized populations by building bridges between evaluation, research, and practice that are culturally responsive and equitable. Sandy lives by the mantra that states, “an individual has not started living until [they] can rise above the narrow confines of [their] individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.” With over a decade of experience in program planning, evaluation, health equity and policy in both federal and nonprofit sectors, Sandy believes that our power resides in our community, both as individuals and collectively. Trained in public health, Sandy is an evaluator, health educator, and community builder that blends her love of community and public health with innovative mixed method, cross sector and system approaches that facilitate strategic social impacts.

Sandy has worked in federal, non-profit, and community sectors and has held certifications in health education and public health. A Houston, Texas native, Sandy holds a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree with a focus in Public Health Practice and a Master of Public Health degree in Community Health from the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) as well as an undergraduate degree in Forensic Science from Baylor University.

Sandy lives in the metro Atlanta area and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, learning her native language  – Efik, dancing, playing sports, and listening to music to name a few. 

Social change is often messy work that benefits from many perspectives, asking big questions, and intentional use of data. Cameron enjoys working with groups who find themselves in these spaces that are more challenging and complex. He utilizes his design and facilitation skills to lead groups through effective processes and make their thinking visible. He is driven by the opportunity to learn something new every day through his work collaborating with colleagues and clients.

Cameron joined ORS Impact in June 2014 after working for a year as an affiliate. Prior, he worked as an Admissions Counselor at his alma mater, The Evergreen State College, where he earned a BA in Environmental Studies. Originally from Fullerton, California, he lived in the Pacific Northwest for 15 years, and now resides in Brooklyn, New York. You can find him at a concert, walking his dog Ollie in Prospect Park, or searching for a good shot of espresso.

Mel’s work in evaluation is driven by a strong sense of social justice and a belief in the power of evaluation to promote learning and facilitate social change. She excels in analyzing complex quantitative and qualitative data and presenting findings in ways that are understandable and actionable.

Mel earned her Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington Daniel J. Evans School of Public Policy with a focus on Policy Analysis and Evaluation. During her graduate studies, she conducted research with Evans Policy Analysis and Research (EPAR) to inform the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's Agriculture, Financial Services for the Poor, and Gender Equality strategies. She also worked as a contractor for the David and Lucile Packard Foundation’s Evaluation and Learning team to support ongoing MLE work with various strategies.

With a passion for puzzling together what is complicated and messy into equitably collaborative, usable, and impactful insights, Aubrey is excited by the opportunities to elevate people, worldviews, and community experiences in her work with ORS Impact. She brings to her project teams previous teaching and facilitation experience as a Fulbright Austria english teacher and nonprofit development experience in the education sector.

Aubrey holds a bachelors degree in music and business from the University of Puget Sound and a Masters of Science from the Psychological and Behavioural Sciences department at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she focused on effective behavioral communications interventions in education (STEM), policy, and organizational branding and communications.

In her free time, you can find Aubrey trying out new recipes, swing dancing, and attempting to pet all the dogs and cats in her Seattle neighborhood.

Houa Lee strives to use her experience as a researcher and project manager to help organizations drive meaningful social change. She rejoined ORS Impact in September 2024 as a project manager, bringing a strong passion for driving complex projects to successful completion. Houa excels at balancing collaborator needs, optimizing resources, and navigating challenging constraints to deliver impactful results. Her commitment to inclusive and trauma-informed practices infuses both her research and project management work, ensuring that projects not only meet goals but also uphold equitable standards. 

With a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Houa brings a unique perspective to her work. Before returning to ORS Impact, she worked as a UX Researcher for leading consulting companies, where she led end-to-end UX research projects for Fortune 100 companies. In these roles, she collaborated with cross-functional teams to align UX research needs with business goals and shape product roadmaps, using her strengths in qualitative and quantitative research methods to inform product strategies and development. This experience in the tech sector complements her earlier work at ORS Impact, where she conducted mixed-methods research and evaluation projects to guide and evaluate client strategies in the social sector. 

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Houa has called Seattle home since 2017. Outside of her role at ORS Impact, she is a multidisciplinary creative and movement artist/dancer. You'll find her rehearsing with her dance teams and pursuing new creative projects. 

Marianne is dedicated to working to advance well-being, thriving, and justice for people, organizations, and communities. At ORS, she leads complex projects and work ranging from strategy, to theory of change development, to activities across the measurement, evaluation, and learning spectrum. She has a passion for the messy, complex space of social change and she equally values and applies both technical (head) and relational (heart) skills and practices.

She received her PhD in Social Policy from the Heller School at Brandeis, her MS in Public Health from Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health, and her MA in Women’s and Gender Studies from Brandeis University. Prior to joining ORS Impact, she was Senior Director at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, where she focused on applying improvement science to population and public health, well-being and equity initiatives worldwide and leading the organization’s measurement, evaluation learning, and dissemination team. She also has worked at Our Bodies Ourselves, Ibis Reproductive Health, and the National Institute for Children's Health Quality.  

A born and raised New Englander, Marianne resides in the Boston area with her spouse, children, and adorable dog. Outside of work at ORS, Marianne is on the Board of Neighborhood Birth Center, Boston’s first community birth center. If you have the chance to meet in person, the odds are strong that Marianne will ask if you’d like to share a pot of tea.

Carlyn is passionate about working with clients to design and implement evaluations that improve practice and help them achieve their goals. Both visionary and pragmatic, she has a proven ability to simultaneously visualize the big picture and focus on what is most important to measure and track. Carlyn specializes in mixed method evaluations, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches to give clients the information they need about the effectiveness of their programs, partnerships, planning processes, and portfolio investments. Carlyn’s success comes from her commitment to quality and outcomes in everything she does.

Carlyn joined the ORS Impact team in 2014 and was promoted to Director of Evaluation in 2015. Carlyn has been leading and conducting evaluations for public and private clients for over 25 years. She has evaluated community-based planning initiatives, early learning initiatives, leadership training programs, and place-based initiatives focused on issues ranging from improving public health, to child outcomes and environmental preservation. She received her MA in Geography from the University of Washington in 1989 and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Evaluation from Claremont Graduate University in 2010.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, Carlyn lives in the Phinney/Greenwood neighborhood with her husband Rick. She enjoys dancing, reading, weaving, and exploring Seattle’s neighborhoods on foot. A passionate traveler and learner of languages, Carlyn has lived abroad in Latin America and Europe. She also enjoys cooking and sharing local food and drink with friends and family, including her grown children Megan and Robert.

Alex joined ORS Impact as a Project Assistant in October 2017 where he supports a variety of projects in different capacities. He enjoys diving deep into the thorny issues that ORS clients tackle every day and the constant learning this role provides.

Alex received Bachelor degrees in Humanities and International Studies from Seattle University where he developed a curiosity for evaluation work and the ways organizations can learn from reflecting on data to implement change. Prior to coming to ORS Impact, Alex served as a Research Assistant to two professors writing a textbook on global poverty, worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Intern for a public health NGO in Uganda, and studied Swahili on a David L. Boren scholarship in Tanzania.

In his free time, you can find Alex cooking up something in the kitchen, bouldering in the beautiful Northwest, or enjoying all the culture that Seattle has to offer.

As a researcher, Emma believes informed decisions are the best decisions; as a social scientist, she believes we must constantly evaluate and re-evaluate our assumptions; and as a person, she appreciates the daily contradictions of the human experience. Emma approaches racial and social equity from a deeply personal and profoundly structural perspective, and she’s excited to collaborate with changemakers across the private and public sector.

Before joining ORS Impact, Emma worked at EMC Research, a Democratic polling firm, where she managed quantitative and qualitative projects ranging from public health communications to social programs evaluation to school funding. She also spent a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA member supporting local and national anti-poverty advocacy at the Shriver Center on Poverty Law in Chicago.

Emma earned a BA in Sociology and Anthropology with a minor in Chinese language, from the University of Puget Sound, where she focused on the legal and social structures of racism in the United States. Outside the office, Emma likes to hike, watch tv and movies, and cheer on OL Reign and the USWNT. She’s also highly competitive and willing to take on anyone in a game of hearts.

Jane Reisman is an experienced social sector evaluator and key contributor of research, learning, and best practice to the fields of philanthropy and impact investing.

As the founder and leader of ORS Impact for over 25 years, Jane developed a record of engaging in new frontiers of evaluation – especially those that require innovative thinking and address systemic issues. Today, she actively leads and participates in field-building efforts to strengthen impact measurement and management (IMM) and build the evidence base for impact investing. She has served as the Measurement and Evaluation Advisor to The Rockefeller Foundation, IMM Advisor to The GIIN, co-led the World Economic Forum’s Impact Measurement Action Group on Evidence Cases, contributed to Huddle Group of the Impact Management Project, and is a founding member and Chair of the Social Impact Measurement Topical Interest Group of the American Evaluation Association.

Jane has contributed to a formative body of literature around impact measurement and management, co-authoring several reports including Situating the Next Generation of Impact Measurement and Evaluation for Impact Investing, Streams of Social Impact Work: building bridges in a new evaluation era with market-oriented players at the table, and a series Putting “Impact” at the Center of Impact Investing including A Case Study of Toniic’s T100 Project and A Case Study of how Green Canopy designed its Impact Thesis.

Jane has acted as a convener and presenter on impact measurement and management at numerous gatherings including SOCAP15, SOCAP16, Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2016, Impact Convergence 2016, Grantmakers for Effective Organizations Conference 2017, Mission Investing Institute 2017, Mission Investors Exchange Impact Measurement Webinar 2017, The Community of Evaluators South Asia Conclave 2017, American Evaluation Association 2015-2017 Conferences, the Lili’uokalani Innovation Huddle 2017, Total Impact Conference 2018, and Mission Forward! MIE 2018 National Conference.

In addition to field building around impact investing, Jane acts as measurement and evaluation advisor and consultant. At the social enterprise level, she has advised Green Canopy Homes, Days for Girls International, and Splash. She continues working with leadership and fellowship programs, advising Tekano, a South African initiative sponsored by the Atlantic philanthropies, and the Aspen Global Leadership Network. She is also co-leading a grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation about building dynamic learning systems for foundations, which involves a Lab for Learning comprised of multiple foundation participants.

Leonor comes to work every day because of the possibility of helping great organizations have an even greater positive impact. She enjoys serving as a thought partner to clients working through the “messy middle” of theory of change work or the implications of data on strategy, and relishes the challenge of developing frameworks to make complex concepts such as system change, concrete and measurable. Leonor is a deep thinker and naturally creative – those qualities combine in her ability to make insightful meaning from complex data and present it in a way that is both understandable and visually appealing.

While Leonor joined ORS Impact in 2012, she initially moved to Seattle from Puerto Rico to work with an organization catalyzing financial services for the poor in developing countries. Prior to that, she had been consulting with nonprofit organizations to strengthen their evaluation capacity, including an eight-month stretch in La Paz, Bolivia with CARE. Before earning her Masters, she worked for several years at a well-known branding and design firm.

Leonor holds a Masters in Public Administration from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, CA, and a Bachelors in American Ethnic Studies from The Colorado College in Colorado Springs.

Born and raised in Topeka, Kansas, Leonor developed an early love for science and travel. Now, in the Pacific Northwest, she has developed a greater love for the outdoors and enjoys spending time in the garden and playing with her young daughter when the weather is nice and eating up whatever goodies her husband is creating in the kitchen when it’s not.

Doug is a seasoned operations professional who believes in the power of business for social good and making the world a better place. He joined ORS in March 2019 to bring his passion for blending strategic thinking with operational effectiveness. With a strong operations and project management background, Doug builds ecosystems for teams to thrive through developing a shared vision, implementing systems with strong metrics, and creating equitable structures.

Originally from New York, Doug spent the first part of his career managing UBS Investment Bank’s Mortgage Backed Securities Operations team through the credit crisis. More recently, he co-founded and served as the Executive Director for an environmental non-profit Wild Forests and Fauna (WildFF). He currently serves as WildFF’s Board President and program manages their projects in Northern Uganda.

Doug holds a BA in Economics from Rutgers University and an MBA in sustainable business with an energy certificate from Presidio Graduate School (formerly known as Bainbridge Graduate Institute). He is most excited when discussing market-based approaches to further environmental conservation, promoting the circular economy, and cheering on the Seahawks.

Sarah loves helping clients think about how data, measurement and evaluation can help them learn and strengthen their work. She takes on some of the most complex and complicated MLE and evaluation projects in the firm, with a strong emphasis on thinking about evaluation and learning within systems and at initiative- and strategy-levels. Sarah is a deep listener, clarifying what clients need and then creatively designing and presenting findings back to address those needs. She brings a mix of innovative thinking, deep experience from many fields, and a dose of pragmatism to everything she does.

Sarah joined ORS in 2003, after working at a research center under the College of Education at the University of Washington. While there, she helped evaluate and administer federal grants aimed at improving teaching and learning, changing teacher education programs, and creating stronger student outcomes. Sarah has a Masters in Public Administration from the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington, and a Bachelors in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Texas.

In her free time, Sarah is happiest out in nature, enjoying good food, travelling, and spending time with her family.

With a background in community psychology and cultural sociology, Cassidy has substantial research and program evaluation experience, and a keen interest in creating a more equitable world through complex systems change. Before joining ORS in the fall of 2022, she served as an evaluator in a youth-serving nonprofit organization in Hawaii, where she honed her skills in facilitating community-based participatory research. Through her work in clinical community research, she worked with people living with HIV to identify barriers to receiving care.

More recently, she served as an evaluation and grant writing associate at the Brockport Research Institute, focused on increasing capacity in inner-city public schools serving dual-language students. She also served as a Research Associate at Northeastern University’s School of Business, conducting research on industry trends and the effects of modern working conditions on truck driving employees.

Cassidy grounds herself in her values of advancing equity, building strong relationships, and approaching her work with courage, humility, and integrity. She holds an M.A. in Community, Cultural and Developmental Psychology, and has advanced training in a variety of quantitative, qualitative, and community-based participatory methods. Outside of the office, you can usually find Cassidy enjoying movies with friends, taking pictures, and playing with her dog and cat.
